Welcome to Latino Leadership Alliance of the Lehigh Valley!
We are grateful for all the support we have received this past year from our friends and sponsors. In spite of these challenging times, our organization was able to award some of our high school graduates with scholarships to embark on their next academic journey. These are young men and women apprentices, who at the end of their journey, some will be leaders carrying the torch and guiding the ones who come behind them to the path of success. Entering the New Year, the Latino Leadership Alliance will continue to advocate for education for the Latino community; inspire young Latinos to become effective leaders who listen to the voice of the community; support inclusion of other members of the community; and, promote diversity. Our Latino community is diverse.Diversity is who we are. We come from many places around the globe. Our customs are similar yet different. We value, cultivate and respect these differences. Among all this diversity, we embrace each other and come together as one united voice, with one mission, several callings and many alliances (stated in our Mission Statement).We have learned in unity there is strength. To succeed in obtaining a fair equal chance to improve the Latino community quality of life, we need a united voice. Our Core Values emphasize Diversity, Communication, Empowerment, Respect, Teamwork and Integrity.These strong words will help us share, gain knowledge and create innovative ideas with other groups that form our society. We understand that we are not an island. We do not want to be an island wrapped up in our selves.We want representation in meaningful decisions such as political forums where our message can be heard in the White House loud and clear. We want to share the American dream like every other immigrant who immigrated to this Great Nation. Latino Leadership Alliance will continue to strive for quality life for the Latino Community through the words of our Mission Statement with strong emphasis on education and leadership.
