The Education Committee is committed to empowering Latino students to continue their education by attending institutions of higher education. Our committee collaborates with local high schools, colleges, and universities, and reaches out to the community by providing financial aid and scholarship information in English and Spanish.
Committee Activities:
Establish relationships and collaborate with local high schools, colleges and other community organizations;
Distribute Latino Leadership Alliance scholarship applications to students, schools and community organizations;
Review Scholarship applications and select students for scholarships;
Conduct "Si se Puede" financial aid workshops for students and parents;
Provide professional resources to the community;
Recognize the accomplishments of LLA Scholarship recipients by providing opportunities for such recognition through press releases, a scholarship dinner, and the Nuestro Futuro breakfast.
Plan and coordinate the Nuestro Futuro breakfast;
Plan and coordinate activities related to the scholarship dinner.
